Beacons are small transmitters that broadcast Bluetooth low-energy (BLE) signals without draining your attendees battery. They prompt your event app to perform a specific action when attendees come within a certain range of the beacon.
You can set up a beacon so when attendees pass by it on their way out from a session, it will prompt the event app to open that session’s survey or next session program.
With beacon integration, the apps will become a valuable tool for indoor navigation. Attendees will see their position on the event map and they will get directions to reach their destination, be it a conference room, a booth, or the hotdog stand!
